Code-Drawn Animation by AI Models

Code-drawn animation is the core of North Noir: Claude, GPT, Gemini, Kimi or DeepSeek writes the drawing program for every section — with your own API key if you prefer.

The model writes the code

Not prompts to an image model — an actual canvas/JavaScript program per section, executed once per frame at 30 fps.

Bring your own key

Point North Noir at your Claude, GPT, Gemini, Kimi, DeepSeek or Groq key and your key pays for the model calls.

The drawing is code, so poses, timing and props follow explicit rules the model checks against its rendered frames in up to three rounds.

Why code, not a video model

Video models return pixels you cannot reason about; drawing programs return frames you can regenerate exactly. If a section breaks, re-describe it and the model rewrites the program rather than gambling on a new roll.

Your own key also keeps the work inside tools you already trust. Model choice applies to both the film brief and the scene, action and planning calls that happen inside the engine.

The finished sections still land on North Noir's timeline, so the code-drawn frames are raw material for a real edit with narration, music and sound effects.
